Hello! Kate B. here! I had the surgery, gastric sleeve, 1-15-2020, almost at a full year now! To be quite honest, I crave sweets ALL THE TIME, but after so long without actually eating them they don’t bring me the same pleasure as they used to. Every doctor has a different “Code of Conduct” that you must follow, and I’m sure that sugary things are not often found on many of them. It’s because of the dumping. No, not dumping out your bottom, but getting sick after eating too much sugar… at least that’s what I experienced. I tried to indulge myself at around 6 months post op and it ended in a heaping mess. Follow your doctors rules. Listen to your body. STOP EATING WHEN YOU FEEL THE PRESSURE… Not when you’re full.

I am having sleeve surgery in January. I don’t drink soda and very rarely drink beer so it won’t be hard giving it up. But do you still get cravings for sweet items or desserts? I am in the process of giving up the extra sugar and am afraid that I will get those cravings for a bite of pastry

I’m not worried about soda and beer as much, don’t really enjoy beer and gave up frequent soda years ago… but I do like fizzy water. :/

Can you tell me what the uni-the-corn seasoning is that you speak of in the recipes?
